Position Description – Strategic Account Team Position: SAT Business Consultant Reports to: SAT Director Customer Engagement Key relationships: Global/Regional Account Managers , Sales Directors , Regional Services Management , fellow consultants Direct Reports: ./.None Responsibilities: Supply chain / business process Assessment · Understand business processes and key metrics of industries served − Build and maintain up to date knowledge of assigned industries − Know key generic issues and trends of the industry − Know and articulate best-in-class practices and solutions of the industry · Conduct / oversee assessments − Maintain knowledge of the company’s customer engagement method & assessment tools − Lead as required business process assessments − Oversee as required assessments lead by Global Services resources and provide guidance / insight into the work (business process and account related) − Review assessment results and discuss in account team prior to submission to customer − Identify issues of current state and determine process resolution concepts − Define required application design and describe implementation roadmap Business Consulting · Manage, influence & lead communication to Sr. business owners − Build and maintain relationships of trust with stakeholders − Manage escalation communication between parties as required − Liaise and communicate to the company on customer’s strategic requirements − Drive discussions towards operational excellence and improvement opportunities · Drive Customer Engagement process in assigned customers − Discuss and position benefits of customer engagement process − Identify opportunities for engagement − Support account team in definition of engagement plan − Act on agreed customer engagement plan per the laid out processes Solution opportunity & planning · Grow / maintain knowledge of relevant application portfolio − Translate business process requirements to future state solutions architecture − Position and discuss improvement opportunities through the company’s application usage with customer stakeholders · Establish reasoning of future state application portfolio with customer − Determine value of recommended roadmap & actions − Develop business case and rational for roadmap − Define and agree measurements and baselines − Determine messaging to diverse stakeholders − Support account team in account planning · Draw conceptual roadmap for delivery − Understand delivery capabilities of the company’s Global Services and consulting ecosphere − Build high-level implementation approach and plans for solutions delivery − Communicate and fine-tune roadmap with the company’s Global Services · Participate in global account planning efforts − Aid in the development of global account strategy − Communicate identified opportunities to sales team − Provide input related to customer powerbase Competencies for the position Extensive knowledge of company’s products, application areas and services and pricing practices. Effective people skills. Effective time and project management. Problem solving and organization skills. Good understanding of product positioning, sales practices and company selling strategy. Personal attributes · Excellent knowledge of the Automotive segment · Good knowledge of the ERP market segment, e-Business, Supply Chain Management and Customer Relationship Management. Appreciation of customer problems and requirements. Experience and Qualification Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in business, engineering or computer science. Management skills preferred Minimum 15-20 years experience (open to looking at lesser experience ie around 12-15 years). Strong Automotive experience and consulting industry experience for of at least 5-7 years is preferred · Able to work in a virtual office environment. · Flexible and adaptable management style to be able to work with a diverse group of professionals. Visual and verbal presentation skills Excellent command of writing and spoken English. Professional appearance and presentation required Confidence to engage with C level executives PC literacy.
